Chairman's Message

Dear Alumni,

To develop a real human character that becomes a source of peace, love, ethical values, spirituality and integration, one must work for society’s unity and avoid conflict; which is why Minhaj University Lahore (MUL) promotes the concept of knowledge that connects the ancient with the modern, secular with the spiritual, and the outer aspects of the personality with the inner ones. Always remember that knowledge is more than just reading books, listening to lectures, taking notes, giving exams, and receiving degrees. While all these factors are unavoidable prerequisites for an academic career, knowledge itself is an entirely different thing. Process of knowledge starts from becoming a recipient of guidance and deciding the right direction with purpose, which leads to ponder upon the realities of surrounding and understanding what is right and wrong. It leads some to achieve the reasons and develop a successful future. The rationality develops into the meditation that forms the hallmark of an advancing generation. It leads an individual towards the actual research and fundamental methodologies. These abilities are completed by the living heart, wisdom, the certainty of knowledge, intellectuality, understanding, and unshakable faith. Shaykh ul Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri My dear sons & daughters, we aim to revive the unity of knowledge in such ways that were used in the earlier centuries of Islamic history. In our times, the unity has been shifted to duality, comprising of religious and secular knowledge. Religiosity and secularity have become two different entities. Some institutions only follow religiosity, while others merely follow secularity. However, at MUL, we are binding with both, running the movement of knowledge, wisdom, meditation, a revival of spiritual values, and reunifying mundane and spiritual aspects of the knowledge. You must develop a positive future by creating a culture of love, tolerance, integration, and denouncing all kinds of extremism and terrorism. As the elders of nation, we have great expectations from you.
